Baidu Algorithm Update: Beacon 2.0
In order to ensure the fairness of search and the search safety of search users, Beacon Algorithm 2.0 is about to be upgraded shortly.
Mainly for websites with poor website security, frequent hijacking problems, and websites with active jumping to cause hijacking effect, Beacon Fire Algorithm 2.0 expands the coverage.
In May 2018 and February 2017, Baidu successively released the interpretation of the beacon algorithm. For more information, please refer to:
“Severely crack down on malicious hijacking Baidu Mobile Search launches Beacon Algorithm 2.0 (May 2018),

This upgrade also requires developers to pay attention to the following:
- Sites with active hijacking problems, please clean up the problem page as soon as possible and don’t try similar practices again;
- Sites that are passively hijacked (commonly: vulnerability hacked, advertising hijacking, JS hijacking, LAN hijacking, etc.)
At the same time, Baidu found that some sites have been hijacked backwards because some third-party external chain JS was carried on the site page. Baidu has centralized a number of problematic third-party JS. For details, please refer to: “Third-party JS Addresses with Risk of Hijacking”.
Please pay attention to the developers and check whether these JS are carried in the website code. If so, please communicate with the JS provider or offline these JS as soon as possible.
